Introduction Of Indian Dance
Dance in India comprises the varied styles of
dances and as with other aspects of Indian culture,
different forms of dances originated in different
parts of India.
Developed according to the local traditions and also imbibed
elements from others parts of the country.
Dance is a symbol of communication which brings out the innermost feelings .
There are two type of dances of India that are -Classical dance and Folk dance.
1:Classical Dance of India
There are Eight Classical Dances in India .Classical
Dances mention on the natya shastra .Natya shastra mention only
seven classical dance and
one is newly added in the year 2000 that is Satriya. Mainly Classical dance
originated in temple.
A:Mohiniattam:
Mohiniyattam dance is originated in the state of Kerela.
Mohiniyattam the name from the goddess of Mohini.It includes
music Carnatic style .
